A bad boy wrapped in a sexy, muscled, grown-up package might be worth a little risk…

Molly Webster has always followed the rules. After an ugly scandal tore apart her childhood and made her the focus of the media’s harsh spotlight, she vowed to live an ordinary life. No fame. No impropriety. No pain. Then she meets Zachary Fox, a tattooed bad boy rocker with a voice like whiskey and sin, and a touch that could become an addiction.

A one-night stand with the hottest rock star on the planet, that’s all it was meant to be…

Fox promises scorching heat and dangerous pleasure, coaxing Molly to extend their one-night stand into a one-month fling. After that, he’ll be gone forever, his life never again intersecting with her own. Sex and sin and sensual indulgence, all with an expiration date. No ties, no regrets. Too late, Molly realizes it isn’t only her body that’s become addicted to Fox, but her heart…

Giselle’s Review:

Oh my lord, where can I find myself a rock god like Zachary Fox?!

So I was very excited to receive an ARC of Rock Addiction for review (especially since it doesn’t even have a cover!), and let me just say this book could not have come at a better time because after attending 2 concerts last week, I was definitely in the mood to fall in love with a rock star and that is exactly what happened.

Rock Addiction is my first novel by Nalini Singh so I was nervous going into it, as I usually am when discovering a new author, but I was not disappointed! I’ve heard through the social media grapevine that Nalini Singh is a paranormal romance genius, and this being her first contemporary romance, did not disappoint one bit! Rock Addiction was sexy as hell, angst-filled, entertaining, romantic, and even a bit addicting. 😉

Right from the start of Rock Addiction we are introduced to Molly and Fox, and their attraction pretty much jumps out at you. What starts off as a steamy one-night stand turns into a whole lot more. Their journey starts off a bit complicated because Molly will do anything to stay out of the spotlight, but Fox IS the spotlight. However, Fox is just way too irresistible! Right from the start you’re going to be lusting after Fox and everything that he says in his voice that’s “pure whiskey and sex and hard rock.”

“Fox wasn’t a bad boy- he was the harder, more demanding, grown-up version”

What I really enjoyed about this book was that I didn’t expect a lot of things that happened. Going into this novel, I was worried that it was going to be a rock star romance in which the girl is ALWAYS insecure/jealous of groupies and worried about whether the guy will cheat on her, and although there was one scene where I thought Molly overreacted, it was early on in the novel and at the same time understandable because the Fox and Molly didn’t really know each other very well. I loved, loved that there was no cheating in this book, and no dramatic suspicions of cheating, so I proudly applaud Nalini on that point!

Rock Addiction  is divided into two parts and part two was my absolute favorite! I adored the relationship the main characters developed at the end of part one and throughout part two, because it was straightforward and honest. It also may or may not have made my heart melt just a bit.

“I want to take you out to dinner. I want to walk with you down the street. I want to pretend not to be bored while you shop. I want to kiss you before I go on stage. I want you in my bed every damn night.”

I also loved that we see more of the supporting characters in part two, such as Noah, Abe, David, and Kit. This was a hilarious, and very enjoyable bunch and I’m hoping that they all get their own stories, cause I will be all over those books like white on rice.

The writing in Rock Addiction was also just…wow. I’m not exaggerating when I say that I felt like Fox was speaking directly to me at times, or that I felt like I was a part of every scene. I don’t know how Nalini did it, but her writing was flawless and captivating.

Oh, how are the sexier scenes you might ask? Well…

So if you’re looking for an extremely well-written, sexy, entertaining, hot, rock star romance, Rock Addiction is most definitely the book for you! I loved this book and would definitely recommend it to all my adult contemporary romance lovers!
