R.S. Grey’s new book NOT SO NICE GUY is AVAILABLE NOW so keep on scrolling to read the description, my review, and a little sneak peak.

About NOT SO NICE GUY

“Oh my god. Who is that?”

I get asked this question a lot.

“Oh him?” I reply. “That’s just Ian.”

Just Ian is the biggest understatement of the century. Just the Mona Lisa. Just the Taj Mahal. Just Ian, with his boring ol’ washboard abs and dime-a-dozen dimpled smile.

Just Ian is…just my best friend.

We’re extremely close, stuck so deep inside a Jim-and-Pam-style friendzone everyone at work assumes we’re a couple—that is until one day, word spreads through the teacher’s lounge that he’s single. Fair game. Suddenly, it’s open season on Ian.

He should be reveling in all the newfound attention, but to our mutual surprise, the only attention he seems to want is mine.

He’s turning our formerly innocent nightly chats into X-rated phone calls. Our playful banter sports a new, dangerous edge.

I want to assume he’s playing a prank on me, just pushing my buttons like always—but when Ian lifts me onto the desk in my classroom and slides his hands up my skirt, he doesn’t leave a lot of room for confusion.

I’m a little scared of things going south, of losing my best friend because I can’t keep my hands to myself. So, I’m just going to back away and not return this earth-shattering kiss—oh who am I kidding?!

Goodbye Ian, ol’ buddy, ol’ pal!

Giselle’s Review:

Hello book lovers! It’s been like 10,000 years since I’ve posted on here, but I had to pull through for my girl Rachel and her new book, NOT SO NICE GUY, because this one is a tall drink of water on a hot summer day. LOL I can’t believe I just wrote that but it was the first thing that popped into my head so bare with me because I am exhausted right now.

NOT SO NICE GUY is that friends-to-lovers romance novel you have been waiting for her. Now, I usually don’t subscribe to friends-to-lovers romances (I’m more of an enemies-to-lovers trope gal) but this book has changed the game! As per usual, Rachel knows how to write comedy like no other. I’m patiently waiting for the day all her books get picked up and turned into rom-com movies.

This book is no exception to Rachel’s quick one-liners and LOL moments. It’s the story of long-time (three years so not really) best friends Sam and Ian. They work together, they eat together, they practically live together, but they are “just friends” aka why this book was so frustrating and why I couldn’t put it down!! I was literally DYING for these two to get together and the fact that it was written in dual POV did not help my mental state.

While there wasn’t anything SUPER crazy that happened in this book (and by that I mean nothing too dramatic) this book really stood out for me. I think it was the premise – and that might be because I don’t read a whole lot of friends-to-lovers – but I think this is definitely one of the most memorable books I’ve read. Just talking about it now makes me want to reread the story again because I seriously loved everything about the characters, their story, and I had such a laugh while reading. To sum my review up so I can get to bed, I would 100% recommend this book to anyone looking for a fun, light-hearted read that makes its mark! R.S. Grey never disappoints and it would be an absolute injustice to yourself to not pick up this book (along with all her other novels) because who doesn’t love a good laugh and an even better romance?
