Lex Martin is taking it from Boston to Texas and I am (surprisingly) very much okay with that. So for those of you who don’t know, I fell hard for Lex’s Dearest series because:
1) I read the first book right before coming to Boston University and it is based in my school/ city. (Still waiting my life to look like Clementine’s from Dearest Clementine.)
2) The characters are hilarious, sexy, witty, and entertaining.
3) Lex knows how to write some incredible swoon-worthy romance.
Shameless is a Dearest series spinoff novel that follows rugged, sexy, smart, and sweet Brady (Can you tell I’m a fan of his yet?). Readers are first introduced to Brady in Finding Dandelion, he’s the best friend that doesn’t get the girl in that book, but this is his time!!!!
Brady’s life leads him to Texas where a new life (and baby) is thrown his way. Thankfully, he has Katherine there to help him out. Katherine and Brady were PERFECT together. I shipped their relationship so hard even when they weren’t together. Their feelings for each other developed over a short amount of time but they were literally living together, raising a baby together!! How can feelings not develop quickly in a situation like that? Especially when they have hella chemistry.
Shameless had a healthy dose of romance and steamy scenes, and it also had scenes that made my heart hurt because Brady and Katherine are still grieving their loved ones while trying to not fall for each other (unsuccessfully I might add). 😉
So if you’re a fan of Lex Martin, you should definitely not miss out on this novel, and if you’ve never read anything by Lex, please pick up all her books ASAP. She is one of my favorite New Adult authors and her debut into the Adult romance world with Shameless was spectacular!!
