Hopeless Romantic from Home

Staying in this Valentine’s Day? Hanging out with your gals and making it a DAY, aka a GALENTINE’S DAY? Today my friends and I are making Valentine’s Day a straight Galentine’s Day and whether you want to just cuddle in bed with a great book or have a night like ours, I’m about to give you some recs that will make this Galentine’s Day a fabulous one.

Looking for a purrrrfect read?

Mariana Zapata and R.S. Grey will not disappoint. Mariana’s Wait For It and The Wall of Winnipeg and Me are slow burns but they are SO GOOD. I read them each in a day and I could not put them down!! R.S. Grey is the queen of rom-coms for me so if you’re looking for a good laugh please check out any of her books! The way she writes dialogue is phenomenal!!

Movie Night In?

If you’re looking to stay in and watch a movie with your girls (like me), grab two four? bottles of wine (red and rose, obvi), scout for the baguettes, don’t forget the mozzarella and tomatoes, make yourself a platter and turn on Netflix. Since I’m currently in the UK, Netflix has different films from that in the US (aka When Harry Met Sally, Love Rosie, Notting Hill, Love Actually, etc.). There’s even some new films on Netflix that look like they’re worth watching, but I think ANY rom-com would make for the perfect Galentine’s Day.

Checklist: Wine, Bread and Cheese. FACE-MASKS! Desserts- duh! Friends <3

Feeling crazy and like you actually want to leave your house?

There are so many bars and clubs that are going to have Anti-Valentine’s Day parties! Scout them out, they exist! I contemplated hitting one up for about .6 seconds and then I realized eating in my pajamas was way more appealing, but everyones different.

Well I hope you enjoyed this little Valentine’s Galentine’s Day post! I hope everyone has a wonderful day filled with good food, wine and cheese, movies with friends, and everything in between. xx
