Goodreads’ Book Description:

Colin Hartman can now add college to his list of failures. On the coast-to-coast trek home from California, Colin stops at a gas station in the Nevada desert, and can’t help noticing the guy in tight jeans looking like he just stepped off a catwalk. When he realizes Catwalk is stranded, Colin offers a ride.

Riley only intended to take a short ride in Colin’s Jeep to the Grand Canyon. But one detour leads to another until they finally find themselves tumbling into bed together. However there are shadows in Riley’s eyes that hide a troubled past. And when those shadows threaten to bury the man whom Colin has fallen in love with, he vows to get Riley the help he needs. For once in his life, quitting isn’t an option…

Silvana’s Review:

This book is something else. Something special filled with love so bright and so big you will want more of it. Megan Erickson knows how to get into ones soul. With her writing she reaches out to you and she makes you FEEL. Her writing is one of a kind; her words threading magically into your brain- into your life.

This second book in the In Focus series kicked every single book I ever read for the last month to the ground. Megan wrote an even better book than the last one. It’s like she continues to shine us with her amazing words, each time more amazing than the last.

I knew it was going to hurt, but I never expected to feel this way. Because I did hurt for the characters and I did cry a lot. But what Megan always does is that she always manages to sprinkle some light into the darkness. Riley and Colin were amazing characters. I would say probably the best of Megan Erickson. Riley had so many layers you couldn’t see, but that’s what I love most when it comes to these characters. They’re flawed and human and looking for something to make them feel alive.  Riley and Colin were like that and I just felt completely in love with these two since, “I’m Riley. I’m a Pisces.”

“Everything about this felt right, and I wondered what had happened to me – that I was somehow falling for this man who looked like he’d stepped off of a catwalk, who had demons and sad eyes and kissed like an angel.”

I wanted to say what it talks about but I’ll end up spoiling it because it is definitely a big spoiler. So just read it and find out for yourself because this book is important and it is written with love and care and I believe it speaks loud and clear.

I really adored this book and all it holds between the pages. I also loved the pretty cameos Justin and Landry made!!! It made my day seeing them interact with each other and with Colin and Riley in this book. *sighs in love* I hope there’s so many more In Focus books to be honest. I will forever be in love with everything Megan Erickson writes.
